Hey Sippers,
Kentucky edged out LSU 35-34 in overtime on Saturday, and as soon as the game ended, Kentucky fans rushed the field. The SEC handed the school a $500,000 fine, which actually goes to LSU, even though they lost. Now, some Arkansas fans are joking about storming their own field after every game, no matter the outcome, just to rack up enough fines to get their athletic director fired.
Fifteen up, fifteen down. The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday, taking a 2-0 lead in the NLCS. Their bullpen was outstanding, retiring the last 15 Dodgers in a row. Those five perfect innings are the most any bullpen has thrown in a single postseason game. The series continues tonight in LA.
Mind the gap. The Tampa Bay Rays beat the Cleveland Guardians 3-1 on Tuesday, tying the ALCS. All three Rays runs were unearned. In the fourth inning, a ground ball hit the spot where the turf meets the dirt and slipped through the legs of Cleveland's José Ramírez.
Tkachuk, from Tkachuk. Brady Tkachuk scored his first goals as a Florida Panther on Tuesday, netting three in a row, and his brother Matthew assisted on each one. According to the NHL, no player's brother had ever set up an entire natural hat trick before, which means three straight goals with no other scorers in between.
The Atlanta Dream moved out of the WNBA's smallest arena for the Finals, but their schedule changed when a pop star booked the venue.
The Dream usually play at Gateway Center Arena, which seats about 3,500 and is the smallest venue in the WNBA. For the playoffs, they moved to the Hawks' State Farm Arena, which holds almost five times more fans. Games 3 and 4 of the Finals will also be played there.
Bumped by a pop star. The singer Sombr already booked State Farm Arena for the original Game 3 date, so the game was moved up by a day. The Hawks also delayed their home opener so Game 4 could be played in the afternoon.
Golden State Valkyries beat Atlanta 3-0 during the regular season. However, since just after midseason, the Dream have won 22 of their last 26 games.
The series begins Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC, with the first game at Chase Center in San Francisco.

Last call. On Monday, the Buffalo Bills beat the Los Angeles Rams 37-34 in overtime. This was Josh Allen's first career overtime win. Rams kicker Harrison Mevis missed from 50 yards and then had an overtime kick blocked, and on Tuesday the Rams released him.
Throwback Thursday. Tomorrow night, the Seattle Seahawks visit the Denver Broncos, and both teams have a 3-2 record. Denver will wear its classic Orange Crush uniforms, while Seattle will wear royal blue, celebrating their 25 seasons as AFC West rivals.

Rugby players touch the ball down too, but there it's called a try, a name left over from when touching down earned no points, just the chance to try a kick at goal.
