Hey Sippers,

Last week, Trevor Zegras of the Philadelphia Flyers was penalized in the preseason for tucking in his jersey, something the NHL hadn't called since 2013. During the Flyers' season opener against Pittsburgh on Wednesday, officials kept an eye on his jersey and gave him warnings. His teammates helped keep it untucked, so he avoided another penalty. The Flyers lost 7-0, but at least the jersey stayed in line.

Big Ben stays put. The Cleveland Browns beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-24 on Thursday night with a 56-yard field goal from Andre Szmyt with just 10 seconds left. On the final play, safety Grant Delpit intercepted Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers remains tied with Ben Roethlisberger at 165 regular-season wins, and the Browns move to 3-1.

Paid in full. Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren has agreed to a five-year, $200 million extension, ending the contract standoff that kept him from media day.

Opening act. The Atlanta Braves eliminated the Philadelphia Phillies with a 6-2 win in Game 3. Reliever Ray Kerr started and pitched 3⅓ scoreless innings, while Chris Sale finished the game by getting the last four outs.

The White Sox won their first playoff series since 2005, and they did it by beating the same team as back then.

Sweep dreams. The Chicago White Sox beat the Houston Astros 7-3 on Wednesday to sweep their Wild Card series. Chase Meidroth hit a three-run home run, and Houston's starter, Hunter Brown, lasted just two outs.

Déjà vu. This is Chicago's first playoff series win since 2005, when the White Sox also swept the Astros in the World Series. Houston finishes the season at 81-81, the same record that won them the AL West.

Cold bats. The other sweeps were just as one-sided. The San Diego Padres beat the Chicago Cubs 8-0 and 4-1, leaving the Cubs with only one run in two games. The New York Yankees beat the Boston Red Sox 9-0 and 9-2.

What's next. The Division Series begins Saturday. The White Sox will play the Cleveland Guardians at 1 p.m. ET, and the Yankees will face the Tampa Bay Rays at 6:30.

Somebody's first loss. Both teams are 3-0. The Las Vegas Raiders won only three games all of last season, and Kirk Cousins, 38, has thrown three touchdown passes in every game so far.
